Living In Theory's HP Magic Giveaway: My Entry

Fifty different Blogs have been chosen to participate in the HP Magic Giveaway. On of those is Living In Theory. Here is my entry into this particular contest:

My sister and her husband have been going through some tough financial troubles lately and while I try to help them as much as I can, there's only so much I can do on my limited income. My sister is currently off work while she recuperates from a recent operation. She is not getting paid while she is off so this further increases their financial burden.

With Christmas fast approaching it doesn't look like they will be able to provide much in the way of gifts for their three children. To make Christmas a little better for them I will be inviting them over here for dinner and giving the kids some small gifts.

If I was lucky enough to win this giveaway I would share the goodies with my niece and nephews. Their current computer has had it's day and it would be nice if I could give them new laptops and a printer for the Holiday season. I know it would bring a smile to their faces as well as their Mom and Dad.

I would keep the Touchsmart PC for myself along with the Media Server and Netbook.

Pics of my computer

I recently swapped my computer into a new case which I was lucky enough to win. Here are a few pics after I swapped my parts into it. It's an older Socket 939 DFI SLI-DR motherboard with 2gb of DDR-400 ram, a 160gb hard drive, and two 8800GT graphics cards. I use it for everyday computing, gaming as well as running folding@home for medical research.

RedFlagDeals: My Best Deal of all Time

Some of you may already know about RedFlagDeals.com, and for those who don't it's a Canadian web site where you can find the best deals on everything from Alphabet Soup to ZZ top cd's.

One of the best deals I've ever found on RedFlagDeals was early last year when a fellow forum member posted a deal he found at his local Wal-Mart. Select UbiSoft XBOX and PS2 games were being liquidated for the amazingly low price of 10 cents each.

I managed to find four of them and traded them in at BlockBuster Video for the Call of Duty 4 XBOX 360 game. After all was said and done it ended up costing me only 45 cents with tax for a game worth $59.99. Quite the deal if I do say so.

Cooler Master Kode 5 prizes have arrived

Earlier this week I received a huge package all the way from Taiwan. It contained a new CM Stacker 830 Nvidia Edition full tower case and a CM X-Craft 250 portable hard drive caddy. The CM event team shipped my prizes via Fedex International Priority. Now that's good customer service.

Living longer

Imagine if you will being able to live to the age of 800 or even more. Immortality may be reality in mankind's future. I ran across a post on Shawn Knight's Blog which lead me to Scott’s post at W Revenue dot Com.

Scott attended the Emerging Technology conference in San Diego earlier this month, and spoke about longevity research. He is quite passionate about the idea of extending the human life span by stopping the aging process altogether.

If the aging process could be stopped when we reach the age of say twenty, then our bodies would not decay afterwards, and we would look the same age for the remainder of our lives.

This however is a very controversial subject with religious groups who say that if we were meant to live forever, God would have created humankind that way.

In order to get more people talking about this subject, Scott has agreed to pay $20.00 via paypal to the first 100 people who blog about the subject. It looks like there is still a few spots left, so get blogging people.

Vote for Winning the Web, Get a FREE Tshirt and Win $100

I'm a noob when it comes to blogging, but I'll give this a shot.

Everyone likes money, and even more so when it's FREE! Two
Bloggers (Gyutae Park and Tyler Cruz) are having a little competition on their respective Blog sites. Vote for your favorite Blog and the loser will be paying three people (who voted for the winner) one hundred dollars via Pay Pal. If you know an easier way to make a quick hundred bucks I'd sure like to hear about it.

If you're one of the first fifty to vote for Gyutae Park, you will receive a free T-Shirt. I like free clothes almost as much as I like free money, so my vote goes to Gyutae Park.

Judging by their pictures Gyutae is a real person while Tyler seems to be a cartoon character. I like cartoons as much as the next guy, but I don't think I'd ever vote for one.
Come to think of it, some of our elected officials may as well be cartoon characters for all the good they do. No offense to Tyler, I'm sure he's a real person.

Both sites have their merits, but I prefer Gyutae Park's Winning The Web for the helpful information it imparts to readers. If you have the will power and energy to follow your dreams, you too could be as successful as Gyutae is.

I'll be crossing my fingers and toes in hopes of winning ONE HUNDRED BUCKS!, but even if I don't win, I'll still get a free T-Shirt out of it.

I wonder if I can find more Blog contests giving out jeans, socks, or underpants? I'd never have to buy clothes again. Sounds like a plan.

So anyway, vote for
Gyutae Park and get a free T-Shirt and a chance of winning one hundred bucks, or vote for a goofy looking cartoon character.

You have until Monday, January 14th, 9 pm ET to submit your vote, so get off your butt and get to it.

As Jerry Maguire said: SHOW ME THE MONEY! and my free T-Shirt too!
